A few weeks ago, in Texas,  we stopped as a group at Starbucks right before we left to go back to Mexico.  Who knew that at this very point in time, God was going to blow my mind and use me.  I have been praying for a while that God would use me to bring glory to Him where ever I was, and at this point, God decided to answer that prayer in a very visible way.
I was hanging outside for a while, talking with people when I had the urge to go inside, to see what all was going on in there.  As I reached the door, a man coming out was there at the same moment.  After the brief moment of awkwardness of deciding who to go through first, he waved me in.  As I was about to keep going about my business, he spoke ” Sorry bout that, I’m looking for someone, actually… I think I am looking for you…”  I was a bit taken back at first,  but I talked to him for a while and found out what was up.  The man is a missionary down here and has been descipling a young man.  He was at dinner with him and was struggling a little, so he prayed to God that He would send some one to help him.  After dinner they went to Starbucks and almost 40 of us arrived all at once.  The young man originally got scared off and left, but the mentor had convinced him to come back.  It was at this point that he sought me out.
While we where waiting for the younger man to show up (Andres), the older man (Richard) and I talked alittle bit.  I told him why we where here, and he told me his storey.   Richard is from Pennsylvania (so am I).  One day he heard on the radio Seth Barnes asking for translators to come and help translate for AiM in Mexico.  He spent New Years Eve in The Gateway.  He went home only to have God send him back a few years later as a full time missionary.
So looking at the entire situation from a omnipotent position, a man was in need of someone to help him desciple a younger Christian, he asked God for help, God sent him almost 40 young Christians on fire for God, doing missionary work with the same organization that the man got his missionary start with.  Out of almost 40 people, the man chose a person from his home state to pray with his friend.
I don’t know exactly what happened to the young man after I prayed with him.  Myself and Richard left and Andres went outside and just sat for a good 15 to 20 minutes, staring off into the distance.  Both men are constantly in my prayers, and the entire situation gives me chills, seeing how God can work at any time, when you aren’t expecting
